TINA
Founder of Kids Kiteboarding, IKO Kite Instructor, Mexico and sports lover.
Working for several years as a kite instructor in the Mexican Caribbean inspired Tina Westermayer to develop a lesson program for children and teenagers.
"What I love most on teaching kids is that they are very natural, they learn fast, are able to copy and they have no fear. My goal is to teach the youngsters the basics of this fascinating sport, that they can progress fast and are always safe. Also to make them understand and give them the passion to do this sport in complete balance with nature.”
SIAN MACONDO

ALECO NICOLAS
First student of Kidskiteboarding, passionate kiteboarder and future pro rider.
“Alec has been my first youngster I ever have tought. With 10 years he already was so cool and we had a lot of fun even in Tulum's rough conditions. He clearly has inspired me to create Kidskiteboarding,” Tina remembers. “As our school kites were quite big for him I decided it will be easier, to adapt the gear and buy some small kites, harnesses, helmet and lifejackets.” In the last season Alec has become an independent kiteboarder, and progressed very fast, performing double back rolls, kite loops, one footer and many more tricks. He is based in Portugal and coming to Tulum regularly.
NEO
Kidskiteboarding’s favorite student, ocean lover, swim talent, fun & gopro-videomaker.
Neo grew up in Tulum and he loves to swim since he was very little. Water is clearly his element. With 7 years he started to learn kiteboarding and his favorite thing is the bodydrag. He loves to travel to other kite spots at the Yucatan Peninsula and to explore new areas. With an eagle eye he sees and collects plastic and helps to keep the beaches clean. If you pass him a GoPro, don't be surprised when you get it back with lots of creative and funny footage.
